Our Guest Rooms

The guest bedrooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and have private bathrooms.

Each room has a double bed (an extra single bed can be provided if required) and face the garden and Charnie Forest to the South.

Both bathrooms were added in 2012 and have a shower, sink, WC, heated towel rail, electric shaver point and mirror.

A hair dryer, towels and basic toiletries are provided.

There is a free Wi-Fi internet connection on request and bicycles are available to guests without charge.

The Summerhouse next to the lake is available to guests in the evening for a relaxing drink or just to enjoy the peace and quiet of the French countryside. The lake is home to a variety of birds and fish and there is always something to see!

Staying with us

Breakfast is available either inside the house or on the terrace and I offer guests a good Continental style selection including: croissants, toast, cereal, yogurts and preserves, tea, coffee and fruit juice. Breakfast is available between 8.30 and 10 am.

Dinner is normally available if booked in advance. Our home cooking is normally 3 courses with wine (or beer if you prefer) and coffee or tea. We serve dinner from 7pm and is normally served on the terrace weather permitting!

I am happy to provide you with tea and coffee during the day and I make no charge for this.

If you have any special requirements, please let us know in advance and I will try to accommodate.

There are some peaceful forest walks nearby and two around small lakes not too far away, both with a cafe and restaurant at the waters edge.

Also there are forest cycle trails nearby and some beautiful quiet countryside to explore by bike. I have a few bicycles you can use during the day if you feel the need for some casual exercise. I can advise you on places to go and visit and will always try to point you in the right direction to help you make the best of your holiday.

If you are golf fans, as am I, then there are some great courses to try within around 40 minutes and they are often quiet with no need to reserve a tee time.
